A shadow is cast by the sun, and it changes its length and shape depending on the position of the sun. In the morning, when the sun is low, the shadow is long and tall. In the noon, when the sun is high, the shadow is short and small. At night, when there is no sun, the shadow disappears. But it will be back soon, when the sun rises again.
